Misgav is a region in the North of Israel, comprised of many small villages. It is mostly mountainous, and very green. Additionally, there are several prime riding locations in the area, including some of the best DH in Israel. KKL (The Jewish National Fund) has also invested in this area, creating a circular mountain bike trail which is one of the better they have built anywhere. It is not by any means very difficult, but it offers a lot of flow and lovely scenery to boot.
Described here is a 15km loop that makes use of the official KKL trail from start to finish. It is entirely possible to add variations along the way as there are many singles criss-crossing the area, or you can even ride the same loop twice. This loop can be ridden in different ways, but we strongly recommend starting from the Segev Forest parking lot which is the lowest point on the loop. That way, you do the main climb in one piece, and then reap your reward in the form of a very long downhill section. Hooting and hollering is optional but highly recommended!
